The online driver education course, also known as traffic school, can be completely customized to each court’s needs. The eligibility requirements for drivers to take the online course can be set by the judges presiding over each court system. These eligibility requirements usually include driving record, previous offenses, and number of prior appearances in traffic school. For instance if there is a certain citation or offense that the court does not deem appropriate for the online drivers education course, drivers with that offense would not be allowed to take the course with out judges approval. The online driver education course is inexpensive for the user, approximately thirty dollars in most court systems.

Users “log in” to the online course and answer a series of questions to confirm eligibility. After registering the first time, users receive a user name and password allowing them to sign in from any internet connection to work on the course. The course is set up to be an “at your own pace” program. Users read the course material, taking a quiz at the end of each section. Users must also pass a final exam with a score of at least eighty percent correct answers. Users will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course that can be sent to the court as proof of completion.

  • The online course is comprehensive.  Course material is presented through various media; text, graphics, charts, etc.  This is a timed course that keeps students online for a minimum four (4) hours.  Course progress is logged with indicators that allow students, and the system manager, to monitor where they are in the program at all times.  Students may contact our Driver Education experts online for questions or clarification of course material.  Students are required to complete quizzes after each section to determine their knowledge of the subject matter, with a final exam at the end in which a score of 80% or above is needed to pass.  Students may take the final exam as many times as necessary to receive a passing grade, at no additional cost.
  •     The online course is convenient.  Students can register, select payment method, and start the course from the comfort of home.  After registration and confirmed payment, students are given a login code.  The login code is used to access the program as often as the user wishes, from any site that has internet access; this allows the student to stop a session at any time and then reenter the area they were in last.  After successful course completion, students receive electronic confirmation and are mailed a completion certificate immediately after confirmation.
  •     The online course is affordable.  The cost of the course is $40.00; payment can be made by credit card online or by mailing a money order or cashiers check.  In many cases the cost of the school is less than the fine (which is generally waived), however court cost will still be collected by the issuing court
